The Perú Guide
is an entertainment guide-magazine that provides information and
insights about current events, bars, restaurants, shops, and accommodation
facilities for Lima and Cusco. It is furthermore enhanced with reports
and reviews about literature, art, music, and, last but not least,
Peruvian astonishing gastronomy, which The Economist magazine recently
considered "one of the world's dozen or so great cuisines".
The Perú Guide
is made both by people who actually reside and work in Lima and
Cusco, and by Peruvians that, although living abroad, go back home
quite frequently. This mix of perspectives and sensibilities ensures
a profound knowledge of the local entertainment offer, as well as
the capacity to understand, or at least to intuit, what experiences
will be most gratifying for travellers that choose Peru as their
destination.
Besides filling a big
gap -currently there aren't other similar publications in the market
and most probably never were-, we aim at achieving two objectives.
On the one hand, to share with our readers those little treasures
that only locals are familiar with: restaurants, bars, and shops
that, although remaining outside of tourist circuits, do provide
some of the most authentic and enjoyable experiences for travellers.
On the other, to become the first publication to offer timely and
relevant information about the most important events going on in
Lima and Cusco.
