Located on the lovely Nazarenas square, next to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the luxurious Hotel Monasterio (see p. N), this is a small nice hotel with reasonable prices. Rooms are simple and tidy, with plenty of light, some of which have beautiful views of the Plaza de Armas. The attractive courtyard, filled with plants and surrounded by balconies with green-painted wooden balustrades, hosts a cafeteria. There is a second location, Cusco Plaza II, set in a remodelled 18th-century colonial building which still preserves the stone-arc courtyards and a beautiful glassed-in central patio (Calle Saphi 181, phone 084- 263000).
