Set in a palace originally owned by
Inca Tupac Yupanqui, during the Spanish conquer the
mansion was granted to a nobleman and conquistador,
don Pedro de Barco Alderman, who built a colonial house
over the original and impressive rectangular stone walls.
Remodelled recently, the rooms are comfortable yet barely
decorated.
The hotel's bar-restaurant serves international
and typical dishes, both inside and in the picturesque
colonial patio.
