As the name subtly suggests, La Mammacha offers a fusion of Andean and Italian culinary traditions. The restaurant and its nouveau cuisine proposal are pretty new in town; however, La Mammacha is the evolution of La Mamma, a pizzeria that opened its doors in the 80s. Located next to Cusco’s main square, La Mammacha’s atmosphere is sober and warm, with wooden floors and walls covered with sepia portraits of mamachas –middle-age Andean women. The flagship dish of La Mammacha is the guinea-pig lasagna. Open Monday through Sunday, 11.30am to 10.30pm Credit V AmEx MC Go back to International restaurants in Cusco. |
