Although MAP café occupies a fraction of the Pre-Columbian Art Museum's colonial patio, its modern and minimalist design -basically a rectangle of glass and steel-, far from being disruptive, fits perfectly in the antique atmosphere of the museum. The cuisine, a highly sophisticated cross-over of Peruvian, French, and Italian traditions, features such inventive dishes as beef tenderloin in mushroom sauce with Andean gratin dauphinoise, crayfish and yellow potato gnocchi with rocoto-chilli sauce, and lamb ragout pappardelle with broad beans, mushrooms and parmesan cheese. Considered one of Cuscos' best and most elegant restaurant, reservations are a good idea. Open 11am-11pm Credit V MC AmEx Go back to Mediterranean restaurants in Cusco. |
