In spite of attracting many tour groups, La Retama has maintained it's family style cooking and top quality. Indeed, Marta Quinteros, the owner, really makes you feel at home.

The restaurant offers a great variety of classic Peruvian dishes and some exceptional novo Andean food based on pink trout, cuy, and alpaca. There is a nice fireplace and the colonial balconies offer a great view of the main square.

The restaurant also stages live music and Andean folk dances (daily from 8.30pm). Also famous for its buffet.
