An honest, down-to-earth bar with more than 60 years in the midst of Barranco's nightlife, Juanitos' look has probably remained intact since its opening.Founded by Juan Casual Villacorta and still run by himself and his family, it's a great place for a midday cured-ham sandwich with onions and chilli, or for some late-evening pitchers of beer among friends.

The bar has long been frequented by the local bohemia, and it's not infrequent for writer and poets to search for inspiration at Juanitos tables, taking chaotic notes on wrecked notebooks and paper napkins.
