The best live-music club in town, La Noche occupies a vast multilevel house at the end of pedestrian Sánchez Carrión boulevard. What began in the early 90s as a conversation-prone, music-daring bar, quickly and steadily matured to become a multi-genre cultural center, bar included.

Almost daily, La Noche stages plays, poetry recitals, and live music performances -mainly jazz, indie rock, and electronic (Monday jam sessions are a Lima classic). Morover, its walls are continuously housing the works of photographers and plastic artists, both beginners and well established professionals. And as if all this wasn't enough, there are long-term and recurring projects, like a yearly photo contest (award ceremony and exhibition in December), a Jazz festival (September), and an Unplugged series featuring local rock bands (May and June).

The plenty different spaces within La Noche appeal to different moods, from the youthful crowded dance-floor to the tranquil outside patio where to linger in a relaxed conversation. Covers depend largely on the show, ranging from a free entrance to S/.30 (around $8).
