Located
in one of the busy streets of Lima's nightlife, Asia
de Cuba is a trendy combination of a restaurant, a lounge,
and a bar. The cuisine is a crossover of Latin American
and Asian traditions, in particular Thai, Indian, Chinese,
Cuban and, of course, Peruvian.
The
menu includes such dishes as Atún Tropicana (grilled
tuna in a coconut and rum sauce) and Corvina Nobu (steamed
sea bass with sake and ginger on a barley bed), and
is complemented with the more traditional sashimi, sushi,
and maki rolls from the sushi bar.
The
high ceilings and dim lights, together with an Oriental
style decor, contribute to a pretty laid-back atmosphere,
ideal for an after dinner drink (particularly appreciated
their Martini Lychee). The music, as couldn't be otherwise,
is on the side of relax: lounge, chill-out, tribal,
and bossanova.
