One of the few restaurants to have investigated Peruvian pre-Columbian cultures, Las Brujas de Cachiche is named after a small village in the Ica region (south of Lima), allegedly home to many witches and sorcerers (bruja is Spanish for witch). The extensive menu includes all the traditional dishes, some of which are even prepared following the ancient recipes. Great the lomo saltado del Gran Brujo (beef steak and potatoes stir fried with onions, chilli pepper, and soy sauce), anticuchos de corazón (grilled beef heart brochettes), and the tasteful tacu-tacu (seasoned beans and rice). Las Brujas de Cachiche occupies an old mansion overlooking a park, and its décor is dedicated to the theme of traditional healing and magic. It also comprises the bar Huaringas.
