La Gloria stands out as one of the most sophisticated and convincing Mediterranean cuisines in town. Located in an old mansion a few blocks from park Kennedy, in the heart of Miraflores, the restaurant counts a cosy and intimate dining room, and a covered terrace. Crispy grilled octopus, sea bass carpaccio with ginger, and black pudding with manioc puree are some of the dishes produced by chef Luis Alberto Sacilotto and owner Óscar Velarde, who have had as apprentices many of the current local young chefs. The wine list includes a good selection of Chilean, Argentinean, and Spanish labels. There is also a nice, always busy bar.
