Main Temple at Machu Picchu

Located north of the Sacred Square, near the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple is a 36 ft (11m) by 26 ft (8m) rectangular structure with thick walls.

Beneath the mail wall stands a sculpted stone that probably served as an altar for ceremonial rituals.
