Temple of Three Windows at Machu Picchu

The Temple of the Three Windows is located on the eastern side of the main square and has a rectangular shape.

The name comes from three typical –and beautiful– trapezoidal windows, plus two open spaces.

This temple features the most amazing architectural style of the whole Machu Picchu citadel. The stones that compose the temple are huge and precisely carved to fit perfectly one with each other.
