Upper Cemetery and Ritual Rock at Machu Picchu

 Archaeologists have found burials containing human remains in this area (Inca’s culture dictated that the dead were buried in the outlying areas of cities, and Machu Picchu was no exception). They also found stones drilled from the upper part possibly used for ceremonial offerings.

There is a granite ritual rock, carved with steps.
